Administrative Staff

Director, Kay Horgan Hardee

Kay began her early childhood career at age 16 when she opened her former church's nursery. She majored in Early Childhood Development and Psycology at LSU and completed her business education at HCC. She has been a licensed director in good standing since 1983. Kay built her first center, Children Discovering, a full time child care center, in 1999 on the grounds of Oak Bend Hospital in Richmond, Texas. Kay has been Li'l Director since it's opening in September 2001.

Administrative Assistant, Mary Ling

Mary has been with Lil Saints since November 2001. She has worked in many capacities including movement to music instructor, substitute teacher, administrative assistant, and dance teacher. Mary owns a dance school in Houston and has over 16 years experience working with young children.

Administrative Assistant, Raquel Smith

Raquel has a degree in Psychology from the University of Houston. She is a mother of three beautiful young boys, all of whom have attended Lil Saints. She volunteers her time with several organizations including the Fort Bend Junior Service League and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Raquel brings a great deal of friendliness and professionalism to our school.

Lead Teachers

Pre-Kindergarten teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, Linda Cardenas

Linda works with our oldest students, those who are four by September 1st, preparing them for Kindegarten. She also helps create and implement the school's educational curriculum. Linda has been with Lil Saints since March 2002.

Pre-School teacher, Mary Ann Tobias

Mary Ann has been working with children since 1989. She has three children of her own and a grandchild. Mary Ann teaches our children who are three by September 1st and potty trained. She has been with Lil Saints since September 2007.

Transition Teacher, Josie Guajardo

Our Transition room is occupied by two and a half year olds. Josie has four grown children and ten grandchildren of her own. She has taught pre-school for over 12 years. Li'l Saints was happy to bring her experience to the staff in September 2008.

Toddler Teacher, Benilda "Bea" Whaley

Bea has the pleasure of working with ages eighteen months to two years old. She is the proud mother of three children, and has been blessed with four grandchildren and a great grandchild. She has taught Sunday School and helped many of the All Saints families raise their children. Bea has been a part of Li'l Saints since September of 2002.

Infant Team Teacher, Krista Simon

Our tiniest students, ages six weeks to eighteen months, are cared for by Krista. Krista joined the Lil Saints family in September 2005 as an assistant in the toddler room. The following year she moved into the infant room and has loved our littlest saints ever since.

Infant Team Teacher, Stephanie Hourie

Born in France, Stephanie moved to Houston in 1993 and attended Rice University. She began teaching in 1995 and joined Lil Saints family in September 2008.

Assistants and Aides

Pre-school Assitant - Marissa Baines

Marissa is currently studying to work in child social welfare. She began with Lil Saints in July 2007. Marissa is well liked by all of her students.

Transition Assistant - Heather Watson

Heather is a native Houstonian who began with Lil Saints in September 2008. She brings plenty of love and warmth to our older toddlers everyday.

Toddler Assistant - Lorena 'Lori' Hinojosa

Lori brought her naturally caring personality to Lil Saints in September 2008. She has over 13 years experience working with children. Lori helps take care of our younger toddlers with patience and a smile.

Classroom Aide - Bridget Stephney

Bridget began working at Lil Saints in September 2006. SHe has helped in both the Pre-Kindergarten and Transition rooms in the past. Bridget now delighfully helps however she is needed in any classroom and other areas of the school.
